While a house is made of cement, glass, gypsum, nails, tile, and wood, a home is an entity much richer than its material content. My home is my lifeline and a manifested milestone of success. It’s given me courage to pursue more fulfilling endeavors by experiencing the security of equity. Equity enables choice and the ability to choose is pure freedom.
Just as the body is a temple for the soul, a house is a shrine for our life’s memories. The love of every family member is embedded in its walls. This love transforms a house into a home’. The home value is beyond measure and not possible to put into an appraisal. If my home could speak, it would say something like this:
“I’ve seen my family through their life’s passages. When they were newlyweds, I became their blissful new home. When they became parents, I became their nursery. When they became sick, I was the place to convalesce. In times of need, I am their refuge and sanctuary. In times of financial stress, I offer freedom of choice and courage to pursue their purpose in life. Though my walls could use a coat of paint, the floors new carpet, and I could use a new roof, I would not want to see my family go. Not even if my walls were stripped bare, for I have held my family all these years so close to my hearth.”
Our home ‘gave back’ by allowing me to leave a lucrative career that was literally killing me. The equity in my home helped me afford my own business and leave a toxic lifestyle behind. I now lead a very harmonious and healthy life. I help the environment and my sanity by working from home. I am present for the needs of my children. I have time for daily exercise. I am free of the auto-immune viruses present just a few years ago. I am free of anti-depressants and handling Diabetes II without medication. Finally I have control of my future and health! Now this is true wealth!
